About this model

SZ248-STS Stainless Steel Commercial Chest Freezer, 256 Litres

Solid Economy Design: The SZ series chest freezers are built with a solid economy design, suggesting a balance between cost-effectiveness and functionality. This may make them a suitable choice for budget-conscious consumers or businesses.

Spacious and Stackable Baskets: The inclusion of spacious, stackable baskets is a practical feature for organised storage. This design helps maximise the usable space within the freezer, making it easier to store and access various frozen goods.

Ideal for Ice-Cream and Frozen Goods: The SZ series is ideal for storing ice cream and other frozen goods. These freezers are equipped with features that are suitable for maintaining the optimal conditions for many frozen items.

Frequent Opening Tolerance: The cabinet is designed to withstand frequent opening throughout the day. This is a crucial feature for commercial settings where freezers may be accessed frequently by customers or staff. Despite frequent use, the freezer is designed to maintain the correct temperature for the storage of frozen food items.

Temperature Maintenance: The emphasis on maintaining the correct temperature is essential for ensuring the quality and safety of frozen foods. The design of the SZ series freezers is intended to keep the internal temperature stable even with regular door openings.

Delivery & installation

Kerbside to mainland UK addresses, typically 3–5 working days. Installation covers:

Positioning and levelling, packaging removed from site
Electrical connection to an existing supply, tested and certificated
Water and drainage connection where required
Commissioning, test run and cleaning cycle demonstration
Staff handover and documentation pack

Where the supply needs upgrading, our design team surveys first and quotes the works separately. We don't install onto a supply we haven't verified.

Warranty & service

Manufacturer warranty as standard from commissioning, with warranty work carried out by CKLS engineers rather than a third-party network. Under a service contract:

Planned maintenance visits, scheduled around your service times
4-hour or next-day response options
Priority parts allocation from stock
Records kept for EHO and audit purposes

Planned maintenance pays for itself on equipment like this: scale, seals and water quality account for most breakdowns, and all three are preventable.

Check it fits, fits the supply, and fits the menu.

Send us the covers and the space. We'll confirm the model, cost the installation and quote it as one job — usually the same working day.
