Compliance

F-Gas compliant commercial refrigeration installation

Where installation involves refrigerant work, this is carried out by appropriately qualified refrigeration engineers, with testing, charging, recovery and records completed in line with current requirements.

  • Qualified refrigeration engineers carry out all refrigerant work in line with current F-Gas requirements.
  • Systems are tested and commissioned correctly before being brought into operation.
  • Relevant records are completed for applicable refrigeration work and provided as part of the handover.
  • Refrigerant choice is considered with compliance, efficiency and long-term serviceability in mind.
  • Existing equipment is decommissioned correctly where being replaced, including safe refrigerant recovery where required.
Range

From a single replacement to a complete refrigeration overhaul

Refrigeration work rarely arrives in one size. The same team handles a single failed undercounter and a kitchen-wide replacement, and scopes the job to whichever it is.

On site

Fitted around service, not the other way round

Most installations happen in kitchens that are still trading. The work is planned around how yours runs, so the disruption is known in advance and kept short.

Planned around your schedule

Dates and working hours are agreed before anything is ordered. Early starts, late finishes and work between services are all normal for us if that is what suits the kitchen.

  • Survey and dates agreed up front
  • Early, late or out of hours where needed
  • One point of contact throughout

Minimal disruption

Work is kept to the area we are in so the rest of the kitchen stays usable around it. Stock stays cold throughout, and the site is left clean at the end of every day.

  • Work zoned to keep the kitchen running
  • Stock kept cold throughout
  • Floors protected and cleared daily

A confirmed turnaround

You get a finish date at quote stage rather than an estimate, so deliveries, bookings and stock can be planned around it instead of waiting on us.

  • Finish date confirmed before we start
  • Temperatures checked and logged at handover
  • Back in use the day we finish
How it runs

From survey to commissioning report

1

Site survey

Before installation, we confirm access, equipment dimensions, positioning and the required services.

2

Delivery & positioning

We coordinate delivery and safe positioning of the equipment, with two-person delivery and specialist handling equipment arranged where required.

3

Installation & connection

Equipment is positioned, levelled and connected to the required services. Where refrigerant work, remote equipment or associated pipework forms part of the installation, this is completed by appropriately qualified engineers.

4

Test and commission

Once installed, equipment is tested and brought into operation. Controls, temperatures and functions are checked to make sure everything is operating correctly before handover.

5

Handover

We complete final checks and provide the relevant operating information, warranty documentation and commissioning records where applicable, leaving the equipment ready for use.

Questions

Before you book the install

Can you replace a single fridge or freezer?

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do. A like-for-like cabinet swap is normally a single visit: the old unit disconnected and taken away, the new one positioned, levelled, connected and set, and the temperature checked before we leave.

Do you have to be F-Gas compliant to install refrigeration?

Any work involving fluorinated refrigerant must be done by a certified engineer, and charge and leak records must be kept. All of our refrigeration engineers are certified and the records come with the handover pack.

How much disruption will there be?

Less than most people expect. Dates and hours are agreed with you first and we work around service where we can, including early starts and out of hours. The area we are working in is kept separate from the rest of the kitchen, stock stays cold throughout, and we clear up at the end of each day.

Should we repair or replace an older system?

It depends on the refrigerant, the age of the compressor and how much you are spending on call-outs. We will give you the numbers both ways, including running cost, rather than pushing a new install.

Can you install equipment we bought elsewhere?

Yes. We install and commission refrigeration supplied by others, and we will flag at survey if the duty, plant position or power supply will not support it.
