Scope

What the installation covers

From individual machine replacements to complete laundry fit-outs, we take care of the equipment installation and the services required to get everything operational.

Delivery and positioning

Access requirements are checked in advance, with equipment delivered, manoeuvred into position and located in accordance with the agreed layout.

Access checked first

Levelling and fixing

Equipment is levelled and secured in accordance with manufacturer requirements, with plinths or bases considered where required.

Installed to manufacturer requirements

Water, drainage and power

Water supplies, drainage, gas and electrical connections can be provided or adapted to suit the equipment, including any associated remedial works required.

Services coordinated

Gas

Gas pipework, appliance connections, emergency shut-off and associated remedial works can be completed as part of the installation by appropriately qualified commercial laundry gas engineers.

Compliant

Venting and air supply

Ductwork and ventilation can be supplied, installed and adapted to the individual site and equipment needs, with airflow and make-up air requirements considered as part of the installation.

Ventilation considered

Dosing and programmes

Automatic dosing systems can be installed and commissioned alongside the equipment, with programmes set up to suit the operation and laundry requirements.

The detail that matters

Getting the installation details right

  • Ductwork correctly sized and routed to the site requirements.
  • Ventilation measured and installed correctly to meet regulations.
  • Machine positioning and fixing, with equipment levelled and secured in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Water and drainage supplies checked against the requirements and capacity of the equipment.
  • Autodosing systems installed, calibrated and commissioned where included within the project.
  • Training provided to the staff who use the equipment day to day.
Commissioning

Run up, set up and signed off

Commissioning goes beyond simply switching the equipment on. Machines are run, settings checked and systems tested to make sure everything is operating as intended before handover.

On site

Getting the machines in and the old ones out

Access can be one of the biggest considerations when replacing commercial laundry equipment. We assess the route, available space and any access requirements in advance so installation can be properly planned.

Access planned at survey

Doorways, corridors, access routes and available space checked against the equipment dimensions before delivery.

  • Route measured end to end
  • Floor loading and plinth checked
  • Lifting kit arranged where needed

Questions

Before you book the install

How long does a laundry installation take?

Installation time depends on the number of machines, the existing services and whether any remedial or M&E works are required. A straightforward replacement can often be completed in a single visit, while larger installations or complete laundry refurbishments may require a longer programme. We’ll agree the installation plan and timescales with you before the works begin.

Do we need to prepare anything before you arrive?

We’ll confirm everything required during the site survey. This includes access, positioning, electrical and gas supplies, water, drainage, ventilation and any other enabling works. Where alterations or new services are required, these can be included within our scope of works or coordinated with your own contractors.

Can you install machines we bought elsewhere?

Yes. We can install and commission commercial laundry equipment supplied by others, subject to a site survey and confirmation that the equipment, access and available services are suitable. We can also carry out any associated remedial or enabling works required as part of the installation.

Do gas dryers need certification?

Yes. Gas-fired laundry equipment must be installed and commissioned correctly by suitably qualified commercial gas engineers. We can take care of the complete gas installation, including new or altered pipework, isolation and emergency shut-off arrangements, appliance connections, testing and certification where required.

Will you show our staff how to run it?

Yes. As part of a full installation and commissioning project, we can provide handover and operator training for your team, including programme selection, dosing systems and routine operator checks. Where more detailed manufacturer training is required, this can also be arranged.
